The ABSA South Africa Internship Industrial and Organizational Psychology 2024 is currently recruiting and inviting recent graduates to apply.

Internships in Industrial and Organizational Psychology are accredited with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).

ABAS Internship Industrial and Organizational Psychology 2024

A portion of this programme is devoted to upskilling M.Com Industrial Psychology students in order to prepare them for registration as Industrial Psychologists (Independent Practice).

The programme includes six domains, including

  • Organizational psychology;
  • Human resource (personnel) psychology;
  • Career psychology and employee wellness/wellbeing;
  • Testing and assessment;
  • Elective (project) and;
  • Professional ethics.

In order to complete the programme within the year, interns need to complete 260 days, covering all domains.

A senior Industrial Psychologist within the organization and an external Industrial Psychologist from an academic institution will supervise the interns.

An intern’s performance will be assessed on the basis of a logbook and quarterly reports; adding value to both the organization and the industrial psychology industry.

Status check

The internship requires the following

  • South African citizen
  • 70% average for Honours
  • M1 (Course work) Completed by January 2024
  • Registered as a Student Psychologist with the HPCSA
