In the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment, the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering requires a Lecturer.

LECTURER VACANCIES Department of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering

  • Expertise in Engineering Graphics, with an emphasis on mechanical engineering.
  • Maintain an innovative approach to teaching and learning in the classroom.
  • Responsibilities include development of the new curriculum for the Higher Certificate in Engineering as well as administrative tasks related to teaching and learning.
  • Provide quality study guides, practical manuals, subject files and other materials related to TLT.
  • Engage in faculty/department community service and research projects.
  • Organize industry visits, meetings, and practical training sessions in coordination with industry.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR LECTURER

  • Academic qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Teaching at the tertiary level for three years.
    • A minimum of three years’ experience in the industry.
    • Ability to present and communicate effectively.
    • A computer literate individual.
  • Registration with professional body (if applicable):
    • It will be beneficial to register with ECSA as a professional.
