A graduate recruitment programme is being offered by DNA Economics in Pretoria for 2023. Based in Pretoria, DNA Economics offers specialist economic and development consulting services throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
The senior economist position will be available in early 2024 to recent graduates and current students.

I’m looking for people who are self-motivated, intellectually curious, and passionate about working on real world economic challenges. At present, DNA operates from its head office in Pretoria (Tshwane, Gauteng, South Africa).
We are looking for someone who resides near DNA’s head office (or is willing to relocate). Applicants may also live and work in Cape Town by mutual agreement.
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Graduates with an Honours degree, preferably in Economics, but DNA also considers other social science master’s degrees with a strong quantitative component, such as Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies, and Statistics;
- Good quantitative and analytical skills;
- Excellent writing and communication skills;
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
- Willing to travel in South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa
- Legally able to work in South Africa.
A written recruitment test is required for all shortlisted candidates.
Experience and qualifications determine salary package. The bonus system is performance-based.
