RE-ADVERT: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

POSITION PURPOSE: Manage the project team and provide administrative support. Ensure that project files and documents are neat, orderly, and complete. Assist other team members as needed by providing support and flexibility.

  • Manages multiple projects and maintains complete and accurate records for multiple projects, working with management and various centre divisions.
  • Supports the work of others by performing clerical duties (in accordance with the need).
  • Maintains compliance with subcontractor and material supplier issues, as requested by Centre Finance and HR.
  • Coordinates and establishes clear lines of communication with Centre personnel, including management.
  • Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and securing the work area as well as completing special projects and miscellaneous assignments as needed.
  • Identify where assistance is needed by regularly meeting with the Managers and project team.Managers
  • Managing the project schedule as needed.
  • Assist clients with data processing in an efficient and effective manner.

Minimum requirements:

  • Qualifications in academia:
    • Qualifications that are relevant to the field of business / advanced diploma, as well as other relevant qualifications (NQF Level 7).
    • The candidate must be enrolled in a Management Sciences course at TUT with at least a Postgraduate Diploma.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of two years of experience in entrepreneurship training and development, as well as general skill development.
    • Experience managing and administering projects.
    • Managing projects independently without supervision
    • An understanding of how to promote and market entrepreneurship programs and services
    • An added advantage would be experience implementing Entrepreneurship Programmes at tertiary institutions.
    • Multiple initiatives can be engaged simultaneously.
    • Exceptional organizational and administrative skills.
  • Knowledge and Skills/Training
    • Ability to communicate effectively
    • Microsoft Office proficient
    • The ability to communicate well (verbally and non-verbally) and interact well with others
    • Accurate, well-organised, and attentive to details
