Compensation Fund Bursary Scheme 2022/23 Academic Year
Applicants for the Compensation Fund Bursary are unemployed individuals who have been injured in the workplace and have acquired a permanent disability, dependents of COID Persons with Disabilities, and dependents of fatally injured workers. They must be accepted at a recognized higher education institution, a technical or vocational college, or a community college.
Unemployed people who are permanently disabled due to occupational injuries or diseases, those who are not in employment, education or training, and those whose dependents are COID Persons with Disabilities or those whose dependents have been killed will be given priority. Within two months of submitting your application, if you have not heard from the Compensation Fund, you may consider your application unsuccessful (likely).

Eligibility Requirements:
- People who have become permanently disabled due to occupational injuries / diseases, dependents of COID persons with disabilities / COID / dependents of fatally injured workers who are without a job
- Residents of South Africa
- Application form completely filled out
- Document proving residency
- Reference number for claim
TUT Full-Time Study Postgraduate Scholarships 2023
- A certified copy of the applicant’s, parent(s) or guardian’s identity document / death certificate (COID Persons with Disabilities)
- Results of the Grade 12 June exams/highest school grades or qualifications
- An acceptance letter from the Public Postschool Education and Training Program (PSET)
- The university requires all students to enroll full-time, and students with disabilities may only study part-time under exceptional circumstances (TUT Compensation Fund Bursary Scheme)
- Employment and Labour Department letter of unemployment / Affidavit of unemployment
