The Department of People Management and Developmental the Faculty of Management Sciences has a permanent position for Lecturer at the Pretoria campus.

TUT External Advert Lecturer Position

Critical Performance Areas

  • Presenting and conducting Lecturer at undergraduate and post graduate levels.
  • Assessing students at undergraduate and post graduate levels;
  • Setting and marking of all assessments.

  • Teaching and learning with Technology, including administration of study materials and assessments.
  • Be responsible for administrative tasks related to teaching and learning in the department of People Management and Development
  • Organize Conferences, Seminars, Symposiums;
  • Day to day management of teaching programmes,
  • Involvement in any teaching and learning activity as may be reasonably assigned to him/her by the Head of Department.
  • Participate in the development of study guides and new curricula in line with HEQF structures.
  • Involvement in department or individual community projects.
  • Present evening/Saturday classes as required and as part of the normal workload.

  • Participating in departmental, subject and industry liaison meetings.
  • Participating in other university committees as maybe assigned to him/her by the Department.
  • General administration such as capturing test and assignment marks, uploading documents on myTUTor.

Academic qualification

A relevant Master’s Degree (NQF Level 9) in Human Resource management/ or M.Com/M.Admin in Industrial Psychology

Experience

  • Three (3)years ‘lecturing/research experience in a higher education institution will be required and/or industry – related experience
  • Three years lecturing/ research experience in Human Resources Management

Knowledge and skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office and other computer programs
  • Full proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
  • Completion of a TUT License to Teach programme will be compulsory.
  • Advanced presentation skills
  • Proved ability in using teaching technology and lecturing on TUT platform
