Engineering and the Built Environment

Humanities
In addition to its ten academic departments, the Faculty of Humanities offers more than 60 academic programmes.
The Faculty of Applied Languages and Integrated Communication consists of six departments:
- Applied Languages
- Integrated Communications
- Journalism
- Law
- Public Management
- Safety and Security Management
- as well as the newly established School of Education.
Doctoral degrees were conferred by the Faculty in 2016 totaling 24 and master’s degrees were conferred in 42.
Information and Communication Technology
We are delighted that you have chosen to study at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). In order to meet the key role science and technology play in the changing environment, we offer a range of courses that produce creative, adaptable, well-trained, well-rounded graduates.

Management Sciences

A career decision is such a complex one, which is why the Faculty of Management Sciences keeps up with the ever-changing labour market needs, opportunities, and challenges by engaging with active advisory boards and keeping in touch with industry and commerce on a regular basis.
Science
It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Faculty of Science, one of TUT’s leading research faculties that contributes substantially to the country’s total research output every year.
At the university, research projects are supported in part by the National Research Foundation (NRF) and the Water Research Commission (WRC).
The Arts
We are pleased to welcome you to the Faculty of Arts. We are one of the University’s spires of excellence because our faculty blends theory with practice.
