Department of Journalism training media professionals to contribute to the changing face of world media is its mission. Journalism students at TUT receive hands-on training that prepares them for careers in media and communication.

TUT Online Application 2024 Are Open

With a multimedia approach, students are equipped with the skills required by contemporary media to package news stories for television, radio, newspapers and online publications, armed with fundamental skills such as reporting, investigating, writing, and broadcasting. Our equipment includes the latest technology for online publishing, editing, layout, radio, and television. Moreover, students assist in the publication of Rekord Noweto, a local weekly newspaper.

In addition to media jobs, our graduates are also placed in other private and/or public organizations in need of young journalists. We are proud of our successful and well-known journalists who have graduated from TUT Journalism, providing them with the best theoretical and practical education.
