The Department of Law requires the services of part-time lecturers for second-semester subjects for the 2023 academic year.
Successful applicants only receive a part-time salary according to TUT Policy. No additional remuneration for travel, relocation, etc.

Minimum requirements
- Presenting lectures and assessing students in various subjects (Day classes);
- Be responsible for administrative tasks relating to Teaching and Learning;
- Involvement in departmental community projects;
- Compile and maintain quality study guides, subject files and other relevant Teaching and Learning material;
- Liaise with the industry regarding WIL matters;
- Attend departmental meetings as required by the Faculty;
- Setting and marking all assessments;
- General administrative duties such as capturing test and assignment marks on the ITS system and uploading documents on Bright Space;
- Consultation with students.
Academic qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Law/LLM or equivalent.
- A qualification in Higher Education will be an advantage.
Experience
- At least 3 years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution is a requirement.
- Evidence of engagement in scientific research and publications in DHET-accredited journals will be an added advantage.
- Registration with a professional body (if applicable).
