The Faculty of Humanities is seeking to appoint TUT Part-time markers in the Department of Applied Languages for the following subjects: English, General Language Dynamics, Language and Translation Practice (Theory), Practical Translation in the following African Langauges: (Northern Sotho/Sepedi, Setswana, Xitsonga, IsiZulu, Tshivenḓa, Afrikaans), Analytical Reading and Writing, Research Methodology for Language, Sociolinguistics, and Professional Writing.
Candidates are required to indicate in their application forms the specific subjects for which they wish to be appointed.
TUT Part Time Markers in the Department of Applied Languages
Minimum Requirements
The candidate must be able to
- provide marking in different languages and modules offered in the Language Practice programme; and
- compile comprehensive report after each and every marking project.
Academic Qualifications
- A completed qualification in Language Practice, African Languages, Linguistics, or any relevant qualification is required.
Experience
- Formal exposure in any language practice-related environment is highly recommended.
