TUT Part Time Position of a Part Time Lecturer at the Arts Campus
Critical Performance Areas
- Lecturing English Communication skills and English for academic purposes to first year students
- Develop learning material on my TUTor and integrate appropriate technology in teaching and learning
- Assess learning outcomes using appropriate assessment methods in line with the TUT policy on assessment
- Capture assessment marks on ITS, track and monitor at-risk students
- Any other reasonable duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s Degree (NQF9) in English/ Language Practice
Experience
- Three years of teaching experience at a higher institution of learning, preferably a university
- Practical knowledge and understanding of learning and teaching related to the acquisition of Academic and Occupational English.
Knowledge and Skills
- Communication.
- Planning and Organizing of activities and work flow.
- Interpersonal.
- Computer Literacy.
- Image building of TUT.
- Self-management.
