Critical Functions

Lecture undergraduate, Advanced and Post Grad levels in Performing Arts – Technical Theatre and Design (critical subjects as Lighting, Creative Industries, WIL Production, Multi- Disciplinary Professional Practice, Design and management)
Initiate, conduct, lead research and innovation activities including publications, innovations, workshops, and community engagement projects.
Form strategic partnership engagements with the industry and institutions of higher learning.
Knowledge in curriculum development and international benchmarking in Performing Arts.
Be able to contribute to the development of entrepreneurial strategies in Performing Arts.
Knowledge of TUT policies and Performing Arts structure and stream requirements.
Be able to coordinate WIL Production, festival and industry engagement activities
Be able to conduct filed trips.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Performing Arts Technology

Experience

At least 3 years lecturing experience in Performing Arts (TAD Technical) at a tertiary level.
Experience in Performing Arts and theatre.
Proven record of administrative skills.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of the HEQSF and related activities.
A good track record of industry and community engagements.
Understanding of TUT polices.
Understanding of Performing Arts and Theatre principles.
Understanding of the current innovations in Performing Arts Theatre.
Understanding of TUT procedure
