To be considered for accreditation, service providers must meet the following criteria:
- Premises must be ready for occupation within a 20-kilometer radius of the campus.
- The facility must offer a minimum of 20 beds.
- Rooms must accommodate a maximum of 2 students.
- Successful applicants must provide safe and reliable transport.
- Accommodation should be dedicated solely to students, without cohabitation with families or others.
- Only owners or co-owners may apply.
- Compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Standards is mandatory.
- Adherence to the “Policy on Minimum Norms and Standards for Student Housing” of the Department of Higher Education and Training.
