Hackathon Event

The participating teams had to conceptualize the outcomes during the Hackathon that spanned three days and two nights. On 15 September 2023, the top three winners were announced at TVH Awards Ceremony, hosted by the Tshwane University of Technology and partners in the Council Chambers at Tshwane House.

E-Health’s Winning Solution

After careful analysis, research, and brainstorming, the winning team (E-Health) tackled the service delivery issues within the Health Sector. These issues included long queues, misdiagnosis, and poor ambulance response times.

They developed innovative solutions such as a virtual queue management system, digital medical file manager, ambulance locator for emergency services, and a patient-condition severity system using Artificial Intelligence.

Overcoming Challenges

The journey to victory was not without challenges. One team member faced difficulties with user interface design, but the team’s determination and guidance from judges and coaches played a crucial role in improving their project’s delivery and presentation.

In the energy-loaded world of hackathons, creativity, collaboration, and coding prowess collide. Winning the top position is a testament to ingenuity, teamwork, and the relentless pursuit of innovation.
